Here's my 2 sen towards building a friendlier community...
I notice quite a few joggers around the area and wonder if you guys/gals are game for a group jog occasionally?
I am looking at a track near the Glenmarie Clubhouse and the empty land opposite Jalan Askar. In total 7-8 km. We could do it one Saturday morning? Anyone?

ReplyDeleteHow to jog when people simply park their cars everywhere??? Where is the control? Also what about the taxis? Why so many taxis parked at one house???

ReplyDeleteI get your frustration. Unfortunately these are communal issues that we have to face everywhere we move to. Frankly I do not know what can be done, but it would be good to bring this up when the RA decides to have another community meeting.
In the meantime, I can always show you where to jog :)

Actually we can run inside the clubhouse via the Holiday Inn entrance, then out and up the slight slope. It is quite a scenic route. Only issue is that you need to cross the main road :(
No date and time yet cos not much response. You run?
There are many runs lately, and occasionally i will join for fun. It gave u a TARGET to complete it whether it is 10k or 21k or full marathon. As long the target is there, it serve as a basic benchmark.

How about badminton ? Can we use the badminton courts in the community hall? Anyone knows when are they going to build the Masjid?

Last I heard the community hall is not operating for badminton yet. I could be wrong. As for the JAIS land, I understand it is for a masjid but I cannot conirm.

Hopefully they will consider to scrap the idea of building a Masjid in that area.

ReplyDeleteActually I am not so sure it is going to be one now that tents have been erected on the JAIS property - fyi Anon it is the empty land at the end of the industrial lot. Perhaps someone else has an idea?

According to TM, Temasya Glenmarie need more people register for unifi only they will consider to start a new hub for this area. I have termite problem , any contact i can call and what this the price they charging.
ReplyDeleteTermites? Check your starter pack when you bought the place. There is a warranty for pest control... see if that is still effective.

Actually it was my neighbour with the problem and he got a 3rd party to do it for him. Apparently the small print in the warranty voids the agreement if you have done renovation... I cannot confirm though...
Deletemy house i suspect got termite too or at least trying to come in hehe. found termite droppings/trails at the courtyard area so pls check your house thoroughly for signs of termite. i am calling pied-piper to check - our warranty is until 2015.

DeleteAnon - you should ask the seller for the starter pack given out by I&P during handover. Inside you will find warranty certs for autogate (legate - 2yrs expire may2012), water pump (grundfos - 2yrs expire may2012), solar heater, termite (pied-piper 5yrs expire 2015) and roof (50yrs if i remember correctly). there is also a spec books on tiles/paints etc.
