My apologies for being offline for some time - been up to my eyebrows with work!
I met up with the RA committee a couple of days ago and am glad to inform that the notice for AGM is being drafted. Yes, I understand the urgency of the security and fencing - suffice to say Rohaizal and Goh supported by several helpful neighbours have been working on options for us to approve during the AGM.
Expect a notice by this week!
On the matter of the fencing, due process is taking more time than expected. We will want to consider the implications of this given the serious gravity of the security issue in Subang and PJ. I strongly urge every resident to be wary when going outside or returning home. Crime has become a malignant problem in our midst today and we need to look out for one another to ensure our common safety.
Don't take the easy way out, if you have a CCTV/Alarm system, use it!
If you see someone suspicious following you, drive to the guardhouse or the nearest police station - do not risk going home or they will know where you stay.
If you notice the car stickers, we deliberately did not name the housing estate. This is to try and prevent people from targeting you.
Lastly, please make time for this AGM. If you have the time and interest in seeing the gated and guarded scheme set-up, please let us know who you are! I think Rohaizal and Goh will appreciate all the help they can get! Let's work together!
When is the AGM? Please post online too cos I haven't move in yet. Appreciate your help.
ReplyDeleteOK boss! I think there is a minimum notice period for this. Will update here!
ReplyDeleteDear GTSRA - just passed by the guard house this morning and notice the fencing been put up. The quality of the fence are impressive - how i wished those put up earlier can be of such quality. Anyway just wanted to say job well done :)!!!!!
ReplyDeleteKeith
I agree Keith! It looks great!

ReplyDeleteFabian, I am reposting your comments here minus your telephone number. Otherwise you will start getting agents calling you here.
ReplyDeleteWe are preparing for the AGM - apparently there is paperwork we need to adhere to for this - but it should be out soon. Please stay tuned for updates or you can email me at mrjefe@gmail.com

Fabian's original post minus his number:
ReplyDeleteI'm new to TG, so let me introduce myself
Fabian here and would like to know how can I get hold of the committee members?
Btw saw the new fencing this morning. Impressive, but would like to know if they will be fencing the 2 sides along Jalan Jurubina and Jalan Askar?
Both these sides are currently using the green fencing, but actually along Jalan Jurubina it's only wired and not fenced. Can someone here confirm on this?
Also any plans after the security expires in August?
Perhaps someone can share with me with some info since I'm new here?
Appreciate that and have a good day!!
Cheers, Fabian
Jefe, who put the fence ah?
ReplyDeleteBong.
I&P
DeleteHi Bong,
ReplyDeleteAccording to the workmen, it is InP. I have not checked myself...
What is good is that the fence is where it should be. Let's see how the other end is set-up. Also for those wondering, there should be a base set-up at the foot of each pole - at least that is how I understand it to be. Otherwise the poles are not lodged deep enough to offer much protection.
regards
Great, looking forward for the entire surrounding to be fence-protected as well...
ReplyDeleteFinally i saw the fence. Felt so much better and safer with it. How come the back(facing shoplot) not fully fence with anti-climb? Only the corner is done up. Any idea why?
ReplyDeleteHi guys, there are some non locals crossing into Glenmarie via jurubina fencing.they step on it to create a large opening to climb through. saw several points damaged. Jurubina fencing has large gap between it's horizontal fencing. Anyway, I think the fencing that was setup was not inp as check with them. we should thank our anonymous donor who really has support Glenmarie alot with his own funds.
ReplyDeleteI believe and understand from I&P that they're funding the fencing, which is currently being put up near the entrance.
ReplyDeleteSeriously an issue if we leave the access via broken wired fence along Jln Jurubina.
Can we sort that our so the entire perimeter is being secured?
The Jalan Penguasa is not fence with anti-climb. Only tree. It does not complete the whole security exercise. If I&P not paying for these, let's chip in for this too. Please make it complete and safe for all of us.
ReplyDeleteAgree, can we work out the cost if we would to complete the entire fencing?
ReplyDeleteWould definitely bring up the property price too :)
Agree with you guys ... if we can get the whole area fenced up and put a proper guard house and boom gate would be great.
ReplyDeleteBut what i understand from the few RA meetings i attended, we have yet obtain the required % from all the residence to close up the area, only then can we proceed to get approval from MBSA. there is also the matter of monthly maintenance and cost for guards, fences etc. let chip in and help the RA where we can by getting our neighbors to agree on the fencing and also wherever there is an RA meeting to pls join or send a rep (some of them may not be aware or not sure what is going on). it would also be great if more of our neighbors join this blog :)
I guess in the meantime we just need to be extra careful and keep alert high for any strangers lurking around our area. :(
keith
Dear all owners, after hearing all problems (guards' lack of proper shelter n security issue etc), let's all move together to improve what we have currently:-
ReplyDelete1. Get the whole housing area properly fenced up (the one installed by I&P recently is quite good);
2. Main entrance - let's build a proper guard house n implement the access card system for vehicle. This will ensure only residents can gain access while visitors will need to be registered.
While the above may involve initial outlay from each resident, think of it as a long term investment for the safety of your beloved family and the money you put down owning this house. What is a couple of thousands relative to the million dollar you Are willing to invest in this house?
Let's us all cooperate n make TG a great place To live in...
Thanks.
Dear Neighbours,
ReplyDeleteGenerally, those who are staying in, are all for the idea of fencing up the whole area. Unfortunately, the mode of communication is so difficult? So for we only manage to held one meaningful meeting 2 months ago. After that no news. Really sad!
All things being said here is everybody hearsay. No one is able to verify. Really hope the current RA office bearers be more alert and active in keeping the other members with up to date information, especially the status of the perimeter fencing.
TG resident please stay united.
Thanks.
Dear Neighbors,
ReplyDeleteI refer to Mr Keith's comments on the % of owners who had NOT joined the RA.
Can someone kind enough to furnish the owners or the house no so that we can gather more RA members.
Thanks
Hi neighbors,
DeleteJust keith will do :)
Yes, it would be great if the committee can let us know which house have joined/yet to join the RA so we can chip in to help. Also will be great if we can once awhile distribute some leaflet to each house on RA activities/updates and also to promote this blog.
I believe many of our neighbors are unaware of RA activities and this blog.

Just spoke to my friend in Section 5, PJ.
ReplyDeleteHer brother who also lives in Section 5 close to EPF, was robbed the moment their home alarm was turned off this morning.
3 robbers charged in, swooped up their baby and held a parang to it in ransom for their valuables.
Our fencing is of great URGENCY!!!
The robbers had climbed over the garden wall and waited for alarm to turn off and a door to unlock. They wore all black clothes + black mask.
Police took 1.5hours to arrive from the time they were called.
Majulah Malaysia! Rakyat di dahulukan!
OK, can we have a database perhaps from Yahoo Group to be setup?
ReplyDeleteWe can have the contact number and address as well as voting on whether willing to chip in for fencing + 24 hours security + security guard house.
Any IT experts around to setup this whole thing?
Also any suggestions on how can we communicate more effectively?
We need to get things done when the heat it up, as it will surely die off if not being well attended to.
Fabian
Hi Fabian,
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with your suggestion.
We are so near to one another and yet we seem to be far far apart.
ya agree, but this blog is a great place to start however appreciate if the gtsra committee can dropby here more often just to give some updates or read our comments or just get to know us all. its not that time consuming as i think there is like <10person that are often here haha.
ReplyDeletekeith
Can we work something out?
ReplyDeleteLet's brainstorm.....
1. setup a database with all contacts
2. Appoint blockheads from respective row blocks to go around neighbors to get their buy-in for out security, fencing and guard house plan
3. .....list to be added on
Fabian
Great ! Fafian,
ReplyDeleteLet's start it .
Can we fix a date ,maybe at the guardhouse for a chat and bring some Ta-pau of teh-tarik to start with ,ha-ha
I have been maintaining this blog on my own accord for more than a year now. Finally people starting to show passion! :)
ReplyDeleteWho wants to the tarik with me this week? As for the RA, one cannot call for meeting without options. We have 2 good guys dealing with I&P, MBSA, contractor quotes etc. They also need to adhere to ROS regulations which are there for a reason. Thankfully some kind neighbors are assisting with work. Bottomlone is that it looks easier than we think.
Still I am open to organizing this if it helps get the word out.
So who's in for TT this Friday night?
I've still an outsider for the moment, since haven't officially moved in - perhaps in next 2-3 months time once renovation completes.
DeleteOf course I would love to see the things moving along the way, especially on the 3 main items that I've been stressing on!!
Let's work things out.....
Fabian
Have anyone actually requested for a quotation for the complete fencing, minus the front entrance which has already been fenced by I&P?
ReplyDeleteAlso cost for security guard house? Anyone tried negotiating with I&P to contribute for the guard house?
It really brings more meaning for developers to build a small guard house, when they can build larger houses around...
Fabian
In regard to the owner database, the RA would have it because when i sign on a piece of paper supporting fencing and security, it contains contact info already.
ReplyDeleteOnce we have a proposal detailing all cost involved for the security facility, then we can start going around in groups to obtain monetary support. I'm have limited knowledge in getting these quotation but I can help out in going around to collect the money.
Time & place for TT this Fri?
Dear Jimmyay and Fabian,
ReplyDeleteIn answer to your questions, yes - Goh and Rohaizal have been getting various quotations and trying gamely to work out what is best for us in terms of cost savings. It is a lot of work and I understand they need to get in a lot of information for us to make an informed decision. Like us, the RA committee of 2 and the few fantastic neighbours helping out are concerned about the security and fencing but they are also mindful of the financial burden this will add to each household. As much as we'd like to think this is an easy sell, even the RM 300 imposed for joining the RA was met with lukewarm support in the beginning.
As for the owner list, do consider the fact that we have a lot of investor-owners in our project. Hence the difficulty in rallying the "troops". But we are grateful that jimmyay has volunteered to help in this area! :) :) :)
I think much will be revealed at the AGM, but if anything, the RA would welcome active participation by willing and able residents. If you have the time, experience and/or relationships with the authorities or I&P, please chip in!
Lastly, I propose TT at 9:30pm at the guardhouse - will the prayers be done by then for those who are fasting?
I also propose Fabian or jimmyay tapau teh tarik :)
Great.. So we gonna get some playground gathering. Then I will bring some packet drinks instead.
ReplyDeleteTime : 9.30pm to 10.30pm session.
Can Goh & Rohaizal make it? Can someone pass message around the neighbourhood please. I can inform 2 of my neighbour via phone. I will move in most likely early next year.
Your house is currently vacant?
DeleteYes. Reno going to start soon.
DeleteUnit? Jln?
DeleteFabian, we exchange contact tonight.
DeleteHow many will be here tonight? Let's share out the challenges Temasya RA is facing. It is a community issue so we have to work together solving it. Importantly, we provide a safe & healthy environment for our family. And as reward, our house price increase too :). A well establish G&G can fetch additional 30% compared to non G&G. $ound good, right!
30%... chun bo? :)
DeleteI think everyone agrees that having a G&G concept is good, but trust me, getting people to pay for it... that is not going to be easy...
Guys,
DeletePlease note that this is just an informal catch up. The real meeting is the impending AGM and if you have to choose one meeting to go to, it should be that one.
regards
30% is reasonable. Eg..Kemuning canal garden. Recently Temasya price increased a little bit more for the few houses that still on sales.
DeleteAnyway, it's nice talking to you all last Fri.
Fabian, hope to see you soon.
Jefe,
ReplyDeleteWe appreciate your effort in setting up this blog. I realised you are also trying very best to inform residents (those who read this blog)on the latest status of the fencing project. Obvious you are just the messenger. Really hope you could get Rohaizal and Goh to update the status once a fortnight for the benefits of resident here. I believe this will help to build up the momentum and strengthen the eagerness to fencing up the whole housing area. Any difficulties faced from MBSA or I&P should be shared here. It is really a joint responsibility of all in making it a success.
Bong.

Deletethanks jefe for creating this blog
keith
Hi Bong,
ReplyDeleteI am only trying to help - Goh and Rohaizal together with some helpful neighbours are working on the various matters. These guys are also busy with their day to day matters and frankly the blog is not the best platform doe updates. Let's meet during the AGM and hear it from their mouths AND I am sure they will be glad to get some help from other neighbours and make this neighbourhood a better place to live in.
regards
sure Jefe! any idea when will be the AGM?
DeleteHi guys. Just heard from Jeff that he will be a bit late but do carry on and meet at the guardhouse. I will try to be there with anor neighbour, Andy, who has been very helpful in getting quotes and providing suggestions.
DeleteGoh
Sorry couldn't make it last Friday, i drove pass the park at 9pm and didn't see anyone :). Anyway as i just got home from work and yet to have dinner its too late to join you guys.
DeleteWould love to join the next one.
Keith
in the future, place a simple notice and stick on the existing signboard at the guardhouse so that everybody knows about any meetings etc. This is surely the best way to inform as we need to pass there daily.
DeleteOn 13/8/2012, at about 5 am, another robbery happened along Jalan Askar, parallel to Jalan Jururancang. Van stopped behind the hedge (near to house no. 72. They had managed to steal some of the scaffolding from the construction site across the road (they somehow managed to crawl under the barrier.
ReplyDeleteOur guards managed to spot the 3 robbers and alerted our workers, including Mandor Rusdi. Armed with weapons, our men approached the van and tried to check the situation. Then the robbers panicked and tried to speed off.
A commotion ensued and Mandor broke the front windscreen of the car and Bala and the other guards managed to smash the van. However the robbers in the van managed to escape.
Jalan Jururancang seemed more prone to such incidents and we need to beef up the security here. The green fencing seems feeble and weak. Perhaps we should add more barbed wires. Again, our appreciation to the guards for being alert.
I must add that the robbers these days are getting bolder as around that time, our Indonesian workers and some construction workers are already up ready for Ramadan fasting.
Fellow Friends, any updates on this? When's the next meet-up to give everyone an update?
ReplyDeleteAlso have we think of the approaches to engage our neighbours to participate in the community?
Dear all,
ReplyDeleteAny news to continue the security guard services which will be ending very very soon.
concerned neighbour.
when is the service ending? we got vp somewhere 1 week of august so its >2yrs already.
Deletekeith
AGM next Wed,8.30pm at Temasya Sales Office. Be there...
ReplyDeleteYes, please be there. You cannot complain if you don't take the trouble to attend...
DeleteHi John,
ReplyDeleteSorry but I needed to remove your comments. I share your pain that some neighbours are making it difficult but please refrain from identifying anyone by name or unit number. Let's avoid pointing fingers and if there is indeed such a problem, use the proper channels like the residents meetings to discuss. If we disagree, let's do so agreeably. But I share your pain...
Thanks!
Hi there, I read your blogs on a regular basis. Your humoristic style is witty, keep it up!
