Your friendly neighbourhood RA

In case a stranger rings your house bell, don't be too alarmed! It's your friendly RA committee member - seen here is Treasurer, Karen Teo - delivering your receipts. This is an ongoing exercise as the RA seeks to meet up with neighbours to introduce ourselves and provide updates as well.

No coffee needed, just a warm smile :)

Don't worry, we won't let Karen do it on her own. Seen here is Henry Dass and a couple of neighbours as well!

  1. WELL DONE!

I start to see some life on the RA committee. it is not that the previous RA committee has not done a good job. but communication between residents was poorly done. More updates and status is always welcome! Better still with pictures. Hurray!!

I m proud of you RA committee!

    Cheers.

    Bong.

  3. Yes, they will have 2 access for now; via Federal Highway Shell and Saujana 0-Lot (via Temasya).
Proposing to have another direct access from FH as well, pending approval from local council and state authority.
There are pros and cons to it anyhow...

  4. I read the listing of residents who have paid for the agreed annual sum of RM2.5 k. Cannot understand why it is already close to a month and the remaining households have yet to pay up.

Suggest that a tag be placed on the gates of houses that have paid, instruction to security guards to concentrate on patrol of these houses only.

I'm not surprise that some households might conveniently leverage on the available security facility with probably no intention of paying up. Good idea to publish the listing.....what's the point of being so vocal during meetings when action speaks louder than words!

  5. Once again, I appeal to the rest of resident that had not pay the sum. Please be considerate to those that paid and provided the security to your family & property. Can we work together to make things happen?

  6. Agreed, I think it is a fair request for the remaining household to just fulfill your agreement to pay for the annual fee during the recent AGM within a reasonable timeframe.

I'm not a member of the RA but I understand that the committee members have their respective business and jobs to attend to hence, we should be grateful that they are willing to undertake this additional role that they are not paid for.

As the RA has been accorded authority to engage a security firm deemed beneficial to residence of GST, the least we can do is to allow them sufficient time and information (in the form of total collection) to make proper decision to benefit everyone.

  7. i beleived alot resident attended the meeting and have their hand up to select payment amount and commetee, and you have a list of resident attended the meeting. please show us who already pay and who not yet pay.

    example

    No.xx jalan xx ( paid )
    no.xx jalan xx ( not paid )

from here we know who is our neighbour that not committed to this cause. ( from mouth we say want better living , from action is so not responsible )

  8. We have to listen to others feedback on why they have not paid yet. Most likely they are not sure what the RM2,500 are for.

For benefit of those that have not attended the AGM. Let's calculate :-
Some people did ask why we need RM2500 x 133 houses = RM332,500 while security could only cost RM180K. It seems like the committee may have an extra of RM152,500. However, it is not.

    Let me clarify :-
    The reasons :-
    1) There are only 90 houses move in. So we have 43 house unoccupied. RM2,500 x 43 = RM107,500 (difficult to collect)

    2) Out of the 90 houses, there are some resident are renting which may be trying to ask their landlord to pay for it. If there are 10 of this... 10 x RM2,500 = RM25,000 (need to be patient with them)

    3) Out of the 90 houses, there may be some due to financial constraint or does not believe the good of this scheme and decided not to pay. If there are 10 of them... 10 x RM2,500 = RM25,000 (be patient)

    Therefore if these happened, we are short by RM107,500 + RM25,000 + RM25,000 = RM157,500.

Conclusion, we have to appeal to those 20 that are occupying and not paying to join us. And also whenever, there is a new resident...please inform the RA to meet them up.

Accounts will be transparent and prepare by Chartered Accountant now. In the event that there are surplus, we can start holding an AGM to seek to reduce this amount.

    Hope the above clarifies.
We need volunteer to join us for collection this Sat morning (29/9) at 9am (meet at Guard House). Hope those already paid can come and help and share the importance of this project. Cheers.

  9. Every day our guard are there preventing criminal to come into our GTS. 2 night ago (around 3am), a white Alphard try to come in the community. They came down and seems to carry some weapon in the pouch. The guard also manage to call our committee member. Fortunately, they rode off without causing any incident.

A foreigner became a victim of snatch thief near Temasya sales office. Only RM30 was lost.

Today TheStar news, 15 armed men (parang) robbed Honda Showroom and run away with 3 accord, 1 civic and 1 crv. The 2 guards are tied up!!

We are getting more tools for the guard to protect themselves too.

Crime are rampant. Be careful, ladies and gentleman.

  10. I think there may be more people who have paid than are in the list. Case in point would be myself. I paid on 31Aug and sent a copy of the successful transaction to the stated email, yet I note my house isn't listed. Maybe best check with those "unlisted" whether they've in fact paid as we should avoid undue animosity between neighbours.

On the payment, anyone can advise how I can get my receipt? Many thanks.

  11. Dear Izuddin,

My sincere apology for the discrepancy. When did you send the email? Could you please re-forward the email to glenmarietemasyasuria@gmail.com again? I will issue a receipt once receive the slip and pass to your house personally.

The purpose of the listing is to confirm whether any discrepancy as some pass the cheque to guard and some via direct bank in. When we receive the Sept bank statement, it will be clearer.

  12. Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for the reply. I paid on the 31st of Aug via Maybank2U and sent the transaction slip confirming successful payment on the same day via email to the stated address. I've actually forwarded the email again a short while ago together with the transaction slip to enquire why it wasn't captured. In any case, my thanks for reverting so fast on the matter, and my wife and I are truly grateful for the commitee's efforts towards making this a better community. Cheers.
