Pursuant to the historic AGM, we have commenced collection of the annual fees for security and we are pleased to reveal that over the last week, more than 30 households have made payment. Efforts will be doubled up to ensure FULL collection and we hope for the support of the community.
For those who have made payment, member of the RA committee will be dropping by personally to handover the official receipt and get to know you in general.
We are also pleased to announce that the contract with Asia Force has been extended pending further review of our options and to buy the committee time to make a more informed decision.
The RA committee has also decided to add an additional member to the committee in order to account for any deadlock in votes. The members of the committee unanimously appointed Andy Lau based on the votes tallied during the AGM.
As such, the committee shall comprise as follows:

Thanks RA for the effort. I believe a lot of resident are still unaware of this figure and also not sure what they sort of services if they support this RM2,500. Once the news is spread, the no should increase higher.
ReplyDeleteWith 30houses x RM2500 = RM75,000/12 mths = RM6,250/mth. We need more support from the resident. Otherwise with RM6,250, eventually we are left with 2 guards only. Hope everyone can spread the news.

We will only be moving in by end of this year. Nevertheless, we support the cause for better security. I have just banked in the cheque of rm2500 into the RA Acc this morning. How may I collect the receipt of acknowledgment? Whom do I contact?

ReplyDeleteSorry for the delay in replies. I have been tied up with work. Just to clarify, the RA is juggling several issues concurrently. There is an intention to have a more regular update for sure, and we are still under 40 households having paid up last I check. We have a meeting scheduled soon and I hope to have more updates.
I appreciate the interest and please keep the questions and suggestions coming in.

ReplyDeleteperhaps it would have been better to let the security lapse for a couple of months so that everyone in the community knows that security is no longer FOC by I&P. with this kind of response we may as well forget about putting up security guards cos the miniscule RA funds will be gone in months plus we can forget about fencing the road next to the shop lots.
A collection drive coming soon. We need all the help we can to convince more resident join the RA. There is already a few volunteers that willing to go door by door to get this done.

ReplyDeleteI will try to join the meet our neighbors/collection drive at the stated time. The membership listing in the bulletin was certainly enlightening and interesting and seriously hope a jump in membership in near future.

ReplyDeleteI noticed the page listing the "Paying Residents". While I agree that it would be good to keep everyone informed of the status of the collection, I'd like to highlight that maybe more care should be taken in compiling the list as I believe some people who had gone to the trouble to pay early may have been missed out.
My wife and I have been very supportive of the collection and made payment on the 31st of August via MB2U followed by sending a copy of the successful transaction to the stated email on the same day, though we have yet to receive the receipt. Yet i'm surprised to see we aren't listed. It may be a small thing, but I'd rather people didn't think we were shirking our responsibility in what I believe should be a community effort.
In any case, I'd like to thank the committee for all their hard work, and hope more residents can come together to support them.
