As agreed in our first residents' meeting, Glenmarie Temasya Suria RA (PROTEM) is in the process of collecting RM 300 per household primarily to cover the mobilization costs of setting up interim measures to beef up security in our neighbourhood and any costs associated with registering the RA with the Registrar of Societies.
A joint account has been set-up under the names of Toe Hong Sim and Liew Sau Lin, who are the ladies in the PROTEM committee entrusted to safekeep the funds. If you have not already contributed, you can issue a check or do a direct transfer to:

Once you have made the transfer or banked in the cheque, kindly email Alicia Toe (aliciatoe2008@gmail.com) and provide reference of transaction so that she can tally the amounts.
We hope everyone understands that the task of safeguarding our community is everyone's responsibility. The PROTEM committee needs your support and endorsement to ensure that our plans for the our nighbourhood are carried out well.

i guess the key important point to encourage other residents to pay is "transparency".
some the steps i suggest you to do is as follows:
1. come up with a simple budget estimating where the expense will go
2. circulate the budget for two weeks
3. get it approve in meeting by voting
4. come up with simple ground rules and guidelines how payment should be made:
- who should approve the payment
- authority limit
- monthly cash flow will be distributed
- any variance between actual and budget must be highlighted
- etc
5. name two volunteer "auditor"
if this simple system is in place i think your collection will be easier.
- another point is put up a list house no of which owner has not shown up.
- come up with a simple registration form containing info as follow:
1. agree on gated community. the voting system on this blog is too vague. Residents will be more committal if they sign the form
2. agree to fund the activities
3. etc.
i think with these paper trail record will make the protem committe's work easier and can be easily transfer once the RA is set-up.
