  1. Thanks to all residents that have paid the security fee to ensure a safe place to live in.

I would appreciate if the committee members can update all residents on the no. of units that have committed to contribute during the last AGM but yet to pay as of today

  2. Hi Lee,

I remember there are 40 residents who have voted for RM2.5k. Nobody took down their names/house no. However, from the paid list... there are a few that have raised lot of comments but yet no action of paying yet. Not sure what is the reason behind it. Hope they can 'auto' pass the cheque to the guard asap.

  3. My dear fellow neighbours,

Come and join us for the collection drive tomorrow (Sat) 10am. We are meeting in front of the guard house. Let's get to know our neighbours around us and make glenmarie temasya the most liveable place around!

  4. Disappointing to see that most of the unpaid residents just choose to ignore the bulletin, ignore house to house collection, or maid came out to tell us "bos tak ada". There are gossip going around saying RA is making money out of these whole thing, wasting money and blah blah blah. Please send your evidence before accusing on the RA.

We are all neighbour here. "The world is like a mirror". Please show respect to all of us. Thanks to some very friendly volunteer that walk with us house by house. Your co-operation gaves us some hope for a better community.

  5. Hi,

It is great to see another taman actively taking security seriously due to the worsening crimes happening all over Klang Valley recently. We had a similar walk around our taman in the early part of this year and we managed to achieve 85% and thanks to the implementation of auto boom gate with access card system, we've improved our collection to 90% as of now. Not just safety can be gained from a gated & guarded community, your investment will appreciate in value as well.

One thing that we have learned is we can only depend on ourselves to make things happen with the dedication of the committee, especially our chairman who took personal time off to deal with numerous threats not just from within but from outside as well. So, the support & trust of the committee is very important for the chairman, secretary & treasurer to carry out their jobs effectively without obstacle from within the RA.

Another important matter that need to watch out & prevent is any suggestion & decision with personal interest attached to it, it will cause distrust of the residents toward the RA.

    Good luck.

  6. Please publish out those occupied units that have yet to pay the security fee after the house-to-house collection being conducted recently.

This is to let all residents informed on those occupied units that is currently enjoying free security services at the expense of other paid residents.

  7. Hi Jimmy,

Sorry to hear of your disappointing experience.

On the collection, I believe one of the reasons that some may not want to pay is on the excuse that they are renting and therefore are reluctant to pay on a yearly basis as they are unsure if they will be around for the year or will move out. In these cases, perhaps the committee may want to consider asking them to pay on a monthly pro-rated basis, i.e. RM208 per month rather than a lump sum of RM2,500. Provided that they are not merely giving excuses, this may be more acceptable to them. This should however be limited to those renting only as to open it up to all would burden the committee in chasing payments every month. Just a suggestion for the committee's consideration.

    1. Hi Izuddin,

For those unsure of their tenancy, they can pay RM2.5k first. Then they can write to committee to claim back when they moved out.

Sames goes for resident that have not move in yet. They have to pay RM2.5k now. There will be a pro-rated discount for the following year security subscription. This is to encourage participation and also fairness to all parties.

Just talk to the committee. We are all neighbours that trying to make thing work. As long the policy benefit to everyone in whole, we can work it out.

Please understand that the fund just started and GTS is new and we still have to pay for 1-time cost for infrastructure expenses such as guard house, fences, & etc.

We can revise the RM2,500 in AGM. This can only be done when (1) we have more paying residents. (2) no more 1-time infrastructure cost

    2. Good point. If those renting tenants are able to get a refund when they move out then there shouldn't be any excuse for them not to pay.

Hopefully everyone can give their support as the whole community benefits from the efforts to increase our security.

  8. I am truly sadddened by the uncooperative and selfish neighours in our community.
Many are only giving mere excuses that they are renting in order to avoid payment but in-fact they are actual owners.

Also, I think for the ones that had paid, we should have postboxes/notice hanged in front of our houses and when the guards make their rounds at night, they could drop their time of visit on the log book.

    Anyway, open to suggestions.
    Have a nice evening

    Cheers!
    John

  9. What internet providers are you all currently using? I am using YES and am currently very unhappy with the service provided. I hope that we can do something to get Unifi (and subsequently, Maxis and Time) over here so that we can benefit from the good internet!

    1. Hi,

      I am using streamyx ......

Still waiting for UNIFI to be available but the coverage in Shah Alam is expanding very slowly. You should register your interest with UNIFI and Maxis Fiber. I suppose if they see there are high demand they may expand the service to TS faster.

  10. Contrary to some negative commentators,i personally feel that participation of neighbor in sharing the security fees is quite encouraging .I have personally witnessed the issuing of cheque on the spot by neighbors after some briefings and clarifications during the Collection Drive last weekend. This clearly shows that there is some lack of communication, as bulletin created by Karen and Jimmy has just started days ago and i notice most residents Do Not Notice them let alone Read the bulletin thinking that those could be one of the Spam Flyers.

I sincerely appeal to those who have paid do not point fingers at
those unpaid neighbors yet because possibly they are either not well informed or they may be Ill informed !
Please do have faith in our honorable committee members !
    Cheers

  11. As a member of the RA, I have seen, heard and experienced both the good and bad of Temasya residents. As far as I am concerned, we have been entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining, developing and securing the neighbourhood - and we will continue to do our part.

It is bad enough that we have to deal with the authorities and external threats, let's not make it harder by eating our own. If you have doubts, voice them - I speak for all the committee when I say we are willing to address your concerns. However if there are 1-2 people who think that a whispering campaign works, then I say we leave it to the community to make judgement.

Remember, each and every member of the RA committee is a good standing individual in his/her industry. We risk our reputation and time to do this and if anyone (with good intention) raises his/her hand to come on board, you are more than welcome. In the meantime, we ask for your support or if not, at least your patience to let us come up with the goods. Fair?

  12. I for one is supporting our RA committee as I think they have poured in a lot of time and effort to make Temasya Suria a safer and nicer place for us to live in. I have not heard much of the WHISPERS hehe, but to those resident(s) that are spreading these allegations, pls show proof/evidence. If you do not have proof then you are spreading malicious lies and though I do not know the motive to do this, it is very damaging to the community, so pls show proof or else ....... stop it!

On the membership drive and collection of fees, I am disappointed in the response. Looking at the list compiled, I can see that some units that benefited the most from the security scheme we currently have (placement of the guards etc) have not made an effort to join, contribute and support the RA. We have to be united in order to have a strong RA that get things done in the interest of our community so if we do not support the elected committee and stay united the RA will fall apart and TS will end up like those housing estates with high crime rate and deplorable condition.

Like what was suggested by John above, we should try to get the identification tag for houses that are under the RA care ASAP. This will help the guards when they are doing their rounds and also create more awareness to those neighbors that are "OBLIVIOUS" to the AGMs, EGMs, newsletters, pamphlets, notices, blogs and all the house visits. The tag should be BIG and prominent.

I suppose we should have a sort of final membership list and available funds in 2-3 weeks time, will the RA be calling for a meeting to update and also to discuss the best way forward?

    THANK YOU

    1. Dear Keith,

For yr kind info, we had already ordered 3 days ago the security identification tags for houses, amongst other items. They should be ready in about a week's time. We shall duly inform and meet up with the residents who has paid. Thank you. KC

  13. Rubbish dumping near playground

I praise the GTS RA efforts to clear all the clogged drains and clearing of rubbish near the playground beside the TNB sub-station recently.

On 15.10.2012, to my utter disgust and dismay, as i was walking near the playground i noticed that some irresponsible people are again dumping rubbish in the same spot near the TNB sub-station. I noticed that these are stalks and leaves of plants found only at few houses in the community.

Can the committee please investigate this matter and find out who is this selfish and very irresponsible culprit keeps dumping the rubbish near the playground. We do not want the rats and cockroaches to thrive again in the area where residents jog and our kids often play.

Stern action must be taken on those found responsible.

    Lim
