Subang Jaya SS15/6A - Girl Kidnapped & Luckily Escaped

ALERT!!! Ladies especially female students, please be extra vigilant. Leave out listening to music when you walk to your University or colleges. Know what is going on around you especially approaching vehicles.

If you suspect something isn't right, please run and create attention.

26th May 2013, Time: 12:45pm

Location: Subang Jaya SS15/6A, Selangor

TODAY at 12.45pm, one of our female Student was "kidnapped" by an young man with dark complexion, driving a new Silver Colour Proton Saga at the side lane going from Jalan SS15/6A to Taylor's Campus.

Luckily she managed to jump out of the kidnapper's car at the traffic lights near Subang Medical Center.

Even though she is badly injured from jumping out of the car, she is grateful that she may have escaped a more horrible fate. We have sent her back to the Hostel, and she feels alright and not traumatic.

We thank The Almighty for helping her to overcome this unfortunate event and walk away alive. Amen.

Moral: PLEASE do not walk alone, especially on those quiet roads and quiet weekend days and public holidays.

Be careful Ladies. Honk and create Attention when feeling unsafe.

ALERT!!! Ladies working in Taipan area please do take note of a suspicious motor biker following you around.

We advise our lady audience NOT to put their bags on the passenger seat or at the floor. The best and safest place is in the car boot.

Ladies who are driving alone in KL please becareful. I was just being followed by a motorcyclist earlier in Taipan Subang area for a good 15 minutes - TBK 8181.

The whole time he was moving at the same pace as me and kept very close to my left. He kept looking at me the whole time when my car was stopped at the lights. I thought I had lost him when I sped up at the yellow light but 2 traffic lights later, he came right back on my left! I was stopped at another traffic light this time and the first thing that came to mind was to hold my honk as long as I could. Not sure if the other cars realised what was happening but it worked. As soon as I did that, he immediately left the scene. I do not know what his intention was.

My bag was placed on the floor of my passenger seat but he did not try to break my window.

Moral of the story: please be alert at all times! I shudder to think what could've happen if he actually followed me to my office.

Our neighbour down with Dengue

One of our neighbour at Jururancang U1/61B had been admitted due to dengue. May he recover soon.
Be careful.

The Ministry of Health supposed to do a fogging. Let us know if you have seen them.

The dengue mosquito likes to bite 2 hours after sunrise and at dusk and they like to bite indoors.  So do take the necessary measures to protect yourself and your family.

If you have a high fever and severe bodyache, please seek medical advise. We are now able to do a blood test that can detect Dengue from the first day of the fever if necessary.

Characteristics of Dengue Fever:
  • Fever that lasts for 2 to 7 days
  • Severe muscle ache, headache and joint pains
  • Rash appearing after the fever subsides usually after the 5th day. The rash may look like a measles types rash. There may also be some pin point red spots known as petechiae that may appear.

81 Paid Residents & Security Alert

We have now 81 Houses (click here for list) Contributing to our Security Fee.

Thanks for your love for our Temasya Community. We are stronger working as a TEAM against criminal.

SECURITY ALERT

On 2nd May 2011 midnight, our guard notice a motorbike park next to construction area (Citra 3) with tampered key holes (stolen).
Worried that someone may sneak into our community, Bala notified  a committee member and together they saw someone crawl out of contruction area. Tried to follow him by car but lost him.

The thief tried to steal copper lighting wire and scaffholding materials. Later, the thief went up to our guard warning them to mind their own business and ask about which car was tailing him. Bala said the thief should be using drug.
GTSRA does equip the guard with some basic self defense weapon but it's a crazy world now.

Thanks to them we are sleeping soundly in our cozy aircond bedroom.
Raise your hand & Give them due respect...maybe buy them some nice meal once a while.

Our Blog Traffic & Updates

We get an average of about 50 page views a day which isn't half bad. I am trying to add content on a more regular basis and any of you who want to contribute can contact me at mrjefe@gmail.com.

Some updates:

1. With 106 occupied homes, 78 households have contributed to the neighbourhood scheme. There remains 28 households who have yet to contribute. And here I am maintaining this blog for free...
2. Notice how neat the plants are adjacent to the new shoplots? More could be done if the 28 households did their part...
3. We have new sections on our blog people... look at the menu items below the top banner. The complaints section is up so try posting there and I will highlight specific cases where possible.
4. Important contact numbers - I am trying to compile a list. If you have any - from police station to electricians, please email me. And lastly,
5. If you noticed the ads in our blog, I am experimenting with Google AdWords to see if we can generate future income for the RA. Results so far is very, very low... but education has been fruitful.

Have a good day and remember that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link.

Broadband Interest

Just following up from a request in one of the comments posting, I have set-up a temporary [TEMP] tab above for you to register your interest there. It would probably help TM to speed up wiring our area so just hop onto the page and add your name/street name. Once we have some good numbers, I will forward this to the people at TM and/or other ISPs.
