  4. Dear GTSRA Committee Members, First of all, i wish to congratulate the committee for the official registration of GTSRA.

I m one of the resident here, just move in recently. Currently a couple of owners are renovating their houses. In order to maintain the quality of life here and for the benefit of those move in first. I wish that the committee could set up ground rules on renovation. My observations are as follows:

    1. Renovation could only be done from Monday and Friday
    2. No renovation is allow on Public holiday
    3. Renovation time from 9 am to 5 pm only.
    4. Garbage truck must be placed at the back lane instead of front lane.
    5. Construction workers are not allowed to stay over night at owner's house.
    6. All contractors must be registered at guard check point.
    7. All contractors are not allowed to hang its banner at houses.

    Please add on......

i hope the committee could act fast on this matter.

    Thanks.

  5. Is this place going to be fenced up? I am still waiting for this to happen before I move in, as Jalan Jururancang is totally vulnerable.

News of high-rise development alarms residents

Tell-tale signs: A site office has been set up at the site proposed for the project.

Residents of Saujana O-Lot Glenmarie in Shah Alam are feeling restless over news that a vacant land adjacent to their housing area would be developed into a high-rise commercial area.

They fear that the proposed development would affect the serenity of the housing estate which comprise stand alone Semi-D and bungalow houses.

The housing estate at Section U1 is located by the Federal Highway while the land is sandwiched between Saujana O-Lot and the highway.

Housewife Stephanie Liew, who stays in a corner house at Jalan Pengaturcara U1/5D, said she recently found out that the vacanat land has been approved for the construction of 11 blocks of 16-storey buildings.

She said one of her neighbours recently e-mailed her an artist’s impression of the proposed project which she obtained through the Internet.

“My family and other residents from our area are feeling very uncomfortable after learning about the proposed development.

“We cannot understand how the authorities can allow high-rise commercial development adjacent to a residential area like ours,” she said.

Liew, a qualified acccountant, said the side of her house would be directly facing the proposed development.

To make things worse, she said there were already signs of development taking place in the area with active movement of machinery during the night.

She said a construction company was already operating from a site office in the area and earth clearing works had started.

“They have done some clearing works by chopping down trees and carrying out minor earth works,’’ she said.

Liew said the residents feared for their privacy.

“Our movements can be viewed by those staying in the proposed buildings.

“The bath at our master bedroom has a sky light and we fear it will be left exposed to the residents of the proposed high-rise buildings,” she said.

Liew said the residents were carrying out a signature campaign to show their dissatisfaction over the proposed development.

Shah Alam City Council public relations officer Shahrin Ahmad said he was unaware of the proposed development in the area.

A notice board would be placed outside the proposed development site, he said, once the council had approved a project.

“We will investigate the information before deciding on the next course of action,” he said.

  8. i think its just beside the highway to subang old airport. the clearing of the work has started. but i dont think it will affect the glenmarie temasya community as it will be far away. :)
Only will affect the Saujana O-Lot since its just located beside it.
appreciate if you could show the artist impression of the high rise? would like to know the development if it include both commercial and residential. thanks!
